Chapter #0987

Now well into our second decade, Chicago HOG has the distinction of being the the only Chapter whose sponsoring dealer is actually located within the great City of Chicago-with two locations! Over the years we have seen exceptional growth, a unique approach to HOG Chapter business, and the development of a rock solid foundation.

Riders of the Windy City....

Since its inception, Chicago HOG has been more than camaraderie, good food and drink, and riding. While non-political, the Chapter and its members have always been active in the general motorcycling community. In the battle for biker's rights, support for ABATE began almost immediately. To this day, the Chicago ABATE chapter counts several of our members as their own, both as members and as officers. Additionally, several prominent motorcycle organizations and clubs rely on Chicago HOG for continuing assistance and a high level of involvement.

And a Conscience, Too....

Also from the very beginning, Chicago HOG has meant civic responsibility . Over the years, some important charities have been vigorously and continuously supported, and the Chapter is routinely recognized for our participation. These organizations (and the year our involvement began) include MDA (1987), Toys for Tots (1988) and Little Angels (1990). In addition, our efforts have assisted such diverse causes as Cook County Forest Preserve, Misericordia Home, Greater Chicago Food Depository, Windy City Charities, Bikers Against Breast Cancer, Veteran's groups and many, many others. And, of course, numerous riders and their families have been helped during some major difficulties.

The Family That Rides Together....

Like any family, the Chapter has witnessed many weddings (including some where the couple met through HOG) and more than a few divorces. We have celebrated important birthdays, welcomed new babies and mourned the deaths of loved ones, including, regrettably, fellow HOGs. We have laughed, gambled, skied, swam, danced, camped and bungeed together. Yes, we sometimes even argue, but throughout it all, the common threads have been and will remain solidarity, a passion for good times and a love of America's motorcycle..

Business....

Dues are $24 per year and are renewed each January. Members receive a variety of benefits including dealer discounts, a monthly newsletter and participation in Chapter events.

Our active Ladies of Harley also organize special events and rides for the membership.

Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at Sidekicks - 4424 W. Montrose Ave. - Chicago.
